I don't know how much traffic this page sees anymore, but I figured I would post something here anyways. So anyways..I've been searching market place, and craigslist for awhile now, and have found a few, but seems like sellers stop communicating when you start asking about compression numbers, or documentation on a rebuild lol. But anyways, I'm looking to buy an Rx8. I'm not concerned about year. I'm looking for something that's on the lower mileage spectrum. 40-60k miles preferably. I'll look at higher mileage cars, but I would like compression numbers if possible. I also I have a rotary compression tester. If the motor has been rebuilt, documentation is a plus. Any color, except black lol. I had a black FD, and it was a hobby to keep it clean. 6 spds only please. I prefer the black cloth or black leather, but interior color isn't a deal breaker. I'm not looking for something that's been lowered, dents where it was drifted into a pole, someone spray painted the rear trunk lid, and a stupid rear wing, etc. (I already have one like this, i got for cheap lol.) I'm located in the Salem area. Willing to travel a little ways. I know I'll have to be patient to find the car I'm looking for. Thank you for looking.

Sounds like you are looking for a car that is basically stock and with low miles. Something to drive on the street occasionally? Not something for track days or autoX?

 

I'm not really into tracking cars anymore. It would be used primarily for a fun daily driver when the weather is nice. As far mods go, it would just depend. Straight mid pipe? Probably not. Racing beat dual resonated? Yes. Street port? Yes. Bridge? No. I'm getting old, and while I do enjoy some noise, I don't want to go any further deaf lol.
