Watch the ship unload in Tacoma
It looks like the ship should be unloading this Friday (the 20th) according to http://www.portoftacoma.com. Based on my reading of the site, it will be unloading at the Pierce County Terminal (which is expected since they're unloading cars but a bummer since it's on the other side of the port from the observation tower).
So who is up for getting together to watch them unload? Maybe meet, get some lunch/dinner, and watch some more? Anyone know the port well enough to know where to view from?

i really want to go but will not be able to i think.i would have to take the day off to go either friday or saturday. friday won't work because my wife need our vehicle that day and saturday is way too busy at work for them to let me have that day off. and then there was what my wife said when i brought up the idea. something like "you can't get an extra day off from work to spend with me because it's too busy but you can take one to watch some cars come off some boat?!" you can see how it might be troublesome.:o

I should know something later in the week. I'll keep everyone posted. I may be getting an invitation to join them at the port installation facility when they unload. They said I could call a little later in the week to see what the exact ETA is. Last Friday, they seem to think it was going to be this Friday, and that is what they were gearing up for. More later.....

Latest intel from today's visit is Saturday. I will know more on Friday, but they were not expecting it until Saturday. This is based upon an NYK e-mail to the Mazda folks I've been working with at the Port.
