Trying to sell an RX-8

I'm very sad about the fact I've got to sell my RX-8 as I'm moving overseas :(

I've had it on Autotrader for a week and not a single person has responded, even though I Think I've priced it to sell. Is nobody looking for them at the moment?

Does anyone else have any experience of selling an RX-8 in theSeattle area?

I bought it new in June 2004 and kept it in excellent condition. 8500 miles, 6 speed manual, fully loaded (Grand Touring Leather, Appearance package, 6CD Bose, Sat Nav, Spoiler, Spare wheel), Winning Blue and I'm asking $25,495. Does that sound reasonable?

You could also try posting it on Craig's list : http://seattle.craigslist.org/car/

The more eyeballs that see it the better. And it's free!

I have interest although I only have 20k to spend so if your willing to drop it that low PM me. I can move tomorrow at that price, but unfortunately thats what I'm limited at offering (due to various factors). It is really lowball I know that... so I do hope you can get what your looking for, but if nothing works out in that regard look me up.

Thanks for the feedback. I've put it on Craig's List too. rommel - thanks for the offer, I'll bear it in mind. I'd like to get more but you never know! By the way, if you have 20k now I would suggest bidding for some on eBay. I've been watching some great cars with real lowball bids and you may find one where the reserve is set low...

well to be totally honest i done't think that your asking price is all thay eye catching. Most people willing to spend that kind of money on a car like that are more than likely just going to be willing to spend a few more thousand and get a new one on a good intrest rate loan. Its just too easy for people to get good low intrest loans these days so more people are just buying new because its easier than getting a personal loan for that much.

Here is my story - I bought a brand new 2004 just like your (minus the leather) for $25,990 with 129 miles on it on 9/30/2005. The dealer in MD was selling 2004s for over $4,500 below invoice price and dealerships everywhere are offering deep discounts on 2005s. I actually paid $25,490 by getting $500 for a beater trade-in.

I looked into buying a used RX-8 all through September. I called a lot of dealers, but mostly I sorted through ebay, cars.com and autotrader.com. I made some offers, but since I only wanted a Winning Blue nicely loaded with options it was tough to find exactly what I wanted. However, I did take note of what others were asking (and, in some cases, getting).

No offense, but I would say priced-to-move would be $23k or lower, plus it will take a couple of weeks for a large number of people to find your car online.

Is this car still available? I took a quick look on cragslist and autotrader, but didn't see it there.
