Cool I hate home owners association!!!

I hate my home owners association. Specially after all that I do around here. They tow my white car to the junk yard with out at least talking to me (I took the wheels off to do the brakes on sunday and i was going to finish on Monday, but sense it's a 1993 Scoupe turbo, nobody has the part, so I special order them, and today after work I was going to put it together) . I had to spend $350 dollars to get it back, two hours putting it back together which I was going to do today after work and I have to wait for a $300 to $500 dollar ticket for driving reckless and negligent in the mail, from an of-duty cop that lives here, went I was trying to get here before they toll it! The good things is that if I can I will be moving from here, cross my fingers!!!

So basically you left a car up on blocks outside your house and you're surprised they towed it away?

lmao...

I LOVE my HOA! They ensure that I don't end up with any neighbors that have a junk, errr.... "project", car in the driveway up on blocks for a week at a time. If I wanted that I'd have a double wide with chickens in the yard out on a farm-to-market road in the "country". lol

Seriously though, you should've known this was going to happen. I got a copy of the complete covenants and restrictions from my HOA when we closed on the house at the title company. I was like a little kid at Christmas. No trailers or boats in view, or parked on the street and the list went on and on; including cars on blocks in the driveway.

On another serious note, you shouldn't "hate" your HOA. They're there to represent YOUR interests. They're made up of your neighbors. Get involved, be part of the solution. If there's a rule that you feel is unreasonable, enough of your neighbors may think the same way. Get involved, get it changed.

You mean TOW it, right? For a second i thought they really tolled it, like put on a flatbed truck and took it up and down SR520 toll bridge...

Sad to hear though, and I agree with getting involved in HOA, nothing is going to get resolved until you understand why they do what they do or do a part in shaping the policies.

This is just one of many problems here. I got my condo about five years ago, went the market was good. Their plan was that they wood sale with-in two to three years. Went 90% are sold we wood take owner ship of the Hoa. One year ago they change and now there renting that last of the condos. So now we can't get control of the association, they fire the lady that use to meet with me and the president and by the way am the vice president. Now they don't meet or return any call from us, they lock the pool table room, and the only way to get it open is with a non-refund $200 deposit, for cleaning it. Someone stole the flat Tv in the gym and the computer room and there not planning on replacing them and they rase the Hoa fee from $125 to $200. In the rules it says I have 24hrs to work on my car. This would have been Monday, as they are not open on Sunday. I was trying to reach them all morning as I was at work, with no luck as there were not in the office, to tell them that I will put the tire back on went I get off work, by 1:00pm I finally reach them to only hear from them that they are towing my car as of this moment, I toll them please don't am leaving work right now to but the tire back on, but all I got is, no its bean tow!

Fist three years was great, I stop a fire in one of the condos from some kid in the neighborhood next to us, I stop some kids from taking and breaking in to some vacancy unit, and I run off some kids that were breaking in some garages, and went the snow hit this year and there was no power for a week, I was the one the put all the garbage it the trash compacter, which took me about an hour.

So yes, I'm inboard with the Hoa, or at least I have been trying to they now me by name and they know that that is one of four cars I have.

All am trying to say is that they could have call me, not just put a sticker on the car and one hour later tow the car.

I hate the Hoa because they tread us like if we are renting the condo, and we have nothing to say, went we are owner and they refuse to meet with us or have a meeting to talk to us! In the pass year I have had at least 10 owner leave because of this. Now I guest am next. I figure it wood get better, but I give up.

Am sorry for releasing my stress here.
I really need it to bent my stress with someone!!!

If they are wrong in the towing of the car, why didn't you have the president arrested for car theft. Why aren't you suing them for the funds they have cost you. Or, were you in violation of the home owners rules and they actually did have the right to this action?
