WA High Performance Sport Driving at PR. Who's in?

So I really want to try and take my 8 out on a road course this year. A few times if possible. I was looking at the dates they have posted on the website and thought I'd post up on here and see if anyone else would be interested in attending as well. I haven't been on a road course in a few years and have never taken the 8 on one yet.

I was thinking that if it's warm enough for the April events they have. I may try and make one of those. It would be cool to get a group together to go racing together.

Here's the link for anyone that wants info on the events. I know I would have to be in the novice group as I'm more than rusty and in a new platform for racing.

I've done a track day at pacific as well as a race ( I crew and occasionally drive with a chumpcar team) The instructors were quite good and the track is a lot of fun. I don't think I will be taking my rx8 though, I have access to a couple of perfectly good race cars for that.

I plan to do 3-4 track days this year. At least one at Pacific Raceways and probably the others at The Ridge. Just let me know when you plan to go and I will see if I can make it too. I have two cars prepped to go any time.

I've heard alot of people run the Ridge. I will look at their events too. I just mentioned PR as it is only a few miles from where I live. I wouldn't mind trying to make an event at both. That is one nice thing about moving here. I love how many road courses are within a short driving range. Before I was happy with having VIR two hours away.

And I hope you get yours done. I'm eager to see a REW RX-8.

I don't know how many I'll be able to attend this year, but if I can't drive there's a good chance I'll be able to go out and take some pictures. Please post any event anyone is thinking about going to and I'll see if I can make it

Another thing to consider, look at everyone's calendar in advance to see if any of the clubs are running ORP, that is a track worth experiencing!

I love ORP.....it is a bit of a drive though and difficult to get enough drivers for many weekends

I love Ridge Motorsports. I haven't driven Pacific since I had the RX4 in the early '80s. So I'm down for whatever whenever.

Did you fix your heat issues? ORP runs a lot hotter than PR. With stock about 10- 15 degrees hotter. I run between 210 and 215 at PR.

Think they will have issues if I run without a bumper, hood and front fenders? LOL

Take the rear fenders off and claim you're open wheeled
