I got it from University Mazda, Lee Johnson offered me the car that I wanted at invoice but they didn't offer me enough on my trade in so I decided to go w/ U-mazda for better out-the-door cost.
The price I got from U-Mazda is about 300 above invoice.

Hello 93rdcurrent
M3's are nice, I wish I can get an E46 M3 but they are little too expensive for me.
I am driving my 8 easy since it's not broken in but I like it so far, it's pretty comfortable and easy to drive. Can't wait 'til I put on a couple of thousand miles so I can really 'drive'

OK, if you're looking for a nice road to enjoy the handling of your RX-8 here's a recommendation given to me by the guy who installed the Clear Bra on my car.
West of Portland on route 26 at Staleys Junction, WA take route 47 north towards Vernonia. The road starts out relatively straight but turns into a wonderful sequence of corners as it winds up and down some hills. About 20 or so miles into it, turn right on Apiary Road towards Apiary (of course!). you'll eventually intersect with route 30. This is a great road for exploring your car's handling, especially if you swap out your sway bars and really want to compare before and after performance.
This route is used as by logging trucks so you'll want to get past trucks whenever you can. Those twisties are awfully hard to safely overtake on. I hit 112mph overtaking one. The twisties are hard for cops to patrol, but watch your speed on the straights.
The first time I drove this route I was grinning so hard my face hurt!

Hey, you Oregon guys are starting to dominate this thread. Time to balance it out.
I picked up my Titanium Gray Touring model last night from University Mazda. I got an excellent deal on an awesome car.
So if you see a Gray RX-8 around southeast Seattle driven by a guy with an idiotic ear to ear grin, be sure to wave.:D
PP13BNOS, I wondered if you meant the car "carves" corners. I think you are right either way.

Blue87Sport,
Imagine how I feel. There are only a few of us over here on the Eastside that I have been able to figure out. So all you Westerners outnumber us by quite a bit. Other than myself there is one more person with a red RX-8 in the Couer d' Alene area that my wife has seen. I still have yet to run accross another owner in their car besides the one time I saw a dealer car out in downtown Spokane at night a couple of months ago. Maybe springtime will change that .
Oh yeah and congratulations.

I'll be the first to admit I don't know how to spell. :D I meant, it just craves the corners. It wants them, it needs them, and loves them. Ok....I'm done now.
But it does carve them too. CJ

Welcome Blue87Sport! It'd be fun to see another '8 in the Seattle area. I've only see two others, a Ti and a Red. I look forward to trading grins
I got my Nordic Green at U. Mazda too. They were very easy to deal with, no sales tricks and they're still keen to help after the sale.

Thanks for the welcome. It's great to be driving an 8.
I've not seen a Green 8 on the road yet. I'll keep my eyes open for you (if I can get them off the tach!)
PP13NOS, I know exactly what you mean. I plan on feeding my 8 its Daily Minimum Requirement of curves. Got to keep it happy. Its definately keeping me happy.

Ti-RX spotted in Redmond, WA
rex's co-pilot spotted a Titanium RX-8 stuck in traffic on route 202 near Redmond, WA. I was going in the opposite direction and only caught a glimpse otherwise I would have rolled my window down for a chat and stopped traffic in the other direction
Anyone here have that Ti combo?
Later in Redmond a couple of girls were checking out my car. Turns out they were oggling my fender strakes. Well, those strakes are better looking than me! Ha, ha!
Rex to co-pilot: guess how fast we're going
co-pilot: Oh, 75 I guess
rex: Nope, 106. Ahhhh...I love interstates!

I'm a lurker, but finally decided to represent.
Velocity Red, GT package with Borla exhaust. Purchased on August 6, 2003 from Royal Moore Mazda in Hillsboro.
Whenever I see another 8 I always give props. So if you see a Red 8 tap-high beaming you from the back or flashing the hazards from the front or sometimes a firendly rev from the borla...thats me!

Nope, I mainly cruise Hillsboro/Beaverton Area. Where's Sullivans gulch?
BTW, a silver 8 creeped up behind me on the 26 the other day. I flashed my hazards, he gave me a quick high beam and wave. It was kinda cool.
Thanks for the welcome.

that's so funny! sullivan's gulch! hahah i lived over there until november when i moved to tigard. they had just started putting up those "sullivan's gulch" signs. i had no idea anyone was using that name yet! and it wasn't me on 26. but i can be found most days around beaverton as i work there. so between beaverton and tigard is where to find me usually.

Okay Zoom now you know where to find me! I will be on the lookout for you this weekend - I have errands to run over by Washington Sq. Mall.
I have pondered the significance of your moniker "Zoom44" - would you care to share any insight as to the meaning? Just curious.
