I have gone for the Jag 3.0 engine 240bhp standard, did you know that this engine can produce 450bhp n/a seem that is used in a race car. Jag took this Mazda engine to Cosworth and asked then to make it produce more power. my ECU chap says 300bhp all-day long with all the emissions crap removed Ive had an S type as a road car for 2 years and its fairly quick for a car weighing 1650kgs. So I would like to know more about your conversation and how its getting on ?.

I was thinking of using a 3.0 durtec which is the Cosworth. Where do you get your information from? I want to do this swap. Use megasquirts to override the emissions and interface with the Rx8 electric system. With this swap everything from bellhousing back stays the same???

Hello also interested in this work up i decided top go with a v6 also from a 4.3 vortec motor 30MPG sounds really nice but if theres a swap where i can keep the trans and drive shaft I would 100% do that. Any more info on that?

I was looking into same thing. These guys make an Adapter plate for Sr20det to Rx8 transmission. You would need a custom flywheel. Electrical i was researching megasquirts. I tgthi that would be the 2 hard obstacles.
