Retaining RX8 coolant reservoir in swap question

This is probably going to be painfully obvious once someone points it out but I'm not sure how to plumb the coolant reservoir for my swap. In the picture below there are two nipples on the coolant reservoir where one goes to the water pump and the other to the thermostat. I have an equivalent port on the thermostat housing but I'm a little less clear on the water pump side. Where is an appropriate place to splice this hose into? The only ports i have on the water pump side are for the heater core and coolant recirculation(from cylinder head outlet back to water pump). I'm not sure if its more appropriate to splice the recirculation hose or one of the main radiator hoses or something else. Also, as far as i can tell there is no valve preventing flow through the heater core. Can i just splice one of the heater core hoses?

Any help you guys could provide would be much appreciated.

I'm not totally sure what you're getting at, but hopefully this helps get the idea of coolant bottle placement across.

The basic thing is to place it physically above everything, so bubbles in all of the critical areas float up to it. It's less about flow through the bottle and more about vapor control in those three critical areas (Upper radiator tank, pump inlet, and thermostat housing).
