Man, this is the most anal retentive, uptight and impolite forum on the net, FFS, the man is modifying his own car with the engine of his choice, it's his fracking car to do with as he pleases, the only unfortunate thing is he was under the impression fellow members here would be supportive. It seems that unless you're a narrow minded rotary purist or a big mouth with 24,000 post's and take more than 12 months to install a turbo system and belittle everyone who disagrees with his opinion, or a stick jockey that hasn't have a clue on engine swaps and have to ask how to do an oil change or plug change and have nothing better to do than rag on a guy for wanting to improve the reliability and performance of his 8 without using the pathetically useless and unreliable Renesis engine, damn, even the big mouth is on his 4th engine, yeah, the Renesis is a great engine :nono: All of you negative knob jockey naysayers need a bunch of fives and a good kick in the arse :piss: on you all. |

I wanted to know more about this plate blocking the engine bay.
Go to the following link and look at the 6th pic. When we eyed the line up of the oil pan on the VQ35DE(front loaded) and the engine bay of an RX8(back loaded) pretty much ruled out the possibility of the swap. We could be wrong but I doubt it. Lsx/T56 Mazda Rx8 Build Thread.. Pics inside - LS1TECH I had to use the above thread to illustrate what I was saying but thats not my thread. We don't take pics unless asked. |
^This pretty much tells me you need to not be swapping things and ending up with the next carb'd 350 8. All we need is another blue nightmare.
Annnnnnnd you obviously didn't actually read the thread before making your first post. That may have led you to believe your information didn't fit in the conversation. All you did was revive a thread finished and dead for months. |

You really haven't done any of your homework, ever think maybe you will have to reengineer the subframe and engine bay :dunno: Don't through out the first peice of uniformed information that pops into your head. |

Obviously none of that matters. It's irrelevant simply because the engine can't fit because of the location of oil sump. So stop with the verbal diahhrea. Think before you speak.

This guy sounds like janousemike...

He is just another goofball that just joined and knows everything right away. He points me to a pic on another site that shows where the steering rack mounts and says the sump will hit it. IF he is talking about the sub frame then I can understand it and also realize that others have modified it to their needs. That be how they doos it in other cars for swaps as well. I guess he was planning on mounting a VQ halfway out of the hood or has never actually seen the engine bay beyond the interwebz.
