Vacuum hoses (diagram)

I just got a 2005 Mazda rx8. My mechanic said that it is missing two maybe 3 vacuum hoses. When i start it up in the morning or after it has sat for at least 30 min. It starts up. But if i drive around town and shut it off. It will not start up until it chills out a minute. I want to try and replace the hoses but i have no clue where they go. Any help or tips?

The picture i attached i tried to circle the 3 that i believe they are. Hard to tell as I’m not at home with the car right now.

I don't even have to click your links anymore to know where they're going. Lol

I will attach a picture of the ones, i have tried looking at the diagram and can’t seem to find the three knobs that don’t have hoses

I like this diagram - I really want to purchase a 2005 if it has boost.

OP, do you have a turbo 13B from an RX-7? If not, that diagram is useless.

Click my link. The top result will be the vacuum hose diagram for your car.

The bigger issue is that it won't restart when warm. That's more serious than just vacuum lines. How old is this engine and did you have compression tested before you bought it? What does the previous owner have to say?

The compression test was fine. Previous owner PTS for military. Engine I’m assuming is as old at the car.

Yeah, that's for an FD RX-7, which is nightmare compared to ours, but such is just the nature for turbocharged engines.

RX-8 vacuum diagram is vastly simpler, being an NA car.

(Ignore the catch can, not that it really affect anything here, though.)

And when you said a compression test, is it a rotary-specific one? If so, do you have the 8 numbers(3 compression numbers + the cranking RPM for each rotor)? If the mechanic isn't a rotary guy, I would take what they said with a grain of salt.

It should also be noted that line going from the oil fill neck doesn't go to the accordion tube on the later versions of the S1. It connects to the lower intake manifold on my 2007.

They kept changing it then because on S2, it goes to the accordion tube. In fact, that's the PCV system on our cars. No valves, just a tube. Makes sense given a rotary engine's structure. I think I read that a healthy RX-8 will have a bone dry catch can, really.

Anyway, OP has a 2005 so this one should apply to them.
