To trade or no?

I am thinking of a trade, and there are so many stories of high mileage used cars, but no stories of a very lightly used one. Found an 04 rx8 6 speed for sale for approximately $10 to 11k. It only has 11000 miles....on an 04. So it was rarely driven, and the owner said mostly to car shows (the back seats are gone and it has a monster 6 sub 3 amp system and lights and t.v.s....it was purely a show car...has some big 20 inch rims too) it's black, with the red and black leather interior. It's very nice looking and he said he would be willing to split on a compression test. He's very confident the car is in immaculate condition mechanically and cosmetically. I would flush and fill all fluids of course. And follow the rules and tips to keep it running as it should.

But what's the problems I might find with LOW mileage 8s? With the like new mileage and mint condition is it worth about 10k? I'd be selling off the stereo stuff as I want the back seats for my boys, not for big subs... (ok maybe one in the trunk). Or because it isn't being run, should I run too? New tires last year...because they were dry rotting. If it passes compression, would you pay that much for an 04 rx8 with only 11,000 miles? Or should I keep my motorcycle (that with kids I don't use very much either)? Thanks for any advice.

I paid $14k for my '04 loaded GT 5 years ago with 18.5k miles.
Love it still with +72k and failing compression.

Worth is subjective, it's worth whatever anyone wants to pay for it.
If you really like it, and it passes a ROTARY SPECIFIC compression test, I say go for it.

They are rare head turners and awesome handling enthusiasts cars.

For $10-11k I think I would rather get a series 2. You wouldn't be able to get one with 11k miles but could probably get one with 50k or less.

The '04 he's looking at sounds nice, 20" wheels aren't cheap.
Many of us think the S1 is better looking.
