Smile Planing to buy 180 000km 2004 rx8 gt

So I'm thinking about buying this 2004 180 000km rx8. The owner says it never had a single motor probleme and the only probleme now is the starter which is still the stock one so I guess it's pretty normal at this point. So do mazda dealers from Quebec, Canada still rebuild engines? because after 180k km its my first concern with the starter. if so, how much does it cost? where else can I do it? What else should I be worried about this car? Can you give me any for the general use of this car? Finaly how much does this car roughly cost to keep it running for every lets say 5k km (considering super graded gas, oil, coil replacement etc.) Sorry for being so noob Im 18 years old... Thank you! :D

There is a good shop in Repetigny called Derwin Tuning, for all your rebuilding needs. You should get a compression test done before buying it, to prove the engine is in good shape. It's about $150, any Mazda dealer (or Derwin) can do it.

When you say the starter is bad, what is the actual problem? Does it start fine once warmed up?

If you're paying more than US$1000 have a pre-purchase inspection done and make sure it includes a rotary-specific compression test done (a normal compression test is useless).
