Severed wires; Need TCM Pinout!!
Hello all! I have been searching vigorously and read through basically every available document possibly pertaining to the solution to my problems. I also tried contacting a Mazda dealership which said they did not give out this info to anyone but techs. Turning up nothing, (or rather not enough) I turned to the experts (you fine folk)! I have an 2007 (auto) RX8 which lost compression around 55K and was swapped with another motor by previous owner. Unfortunately, they made the mistake of cutting the engine wiring harness after the front HO2S and before the rest of the trans wiring. The repair is going well except for 6 or so wires that are not unique colors and are proving difficult to trace to their respective pins. All of these pins I’m having trouble locating connect to the largest terminal in the PCM tray which actually connects to another harness traveling to the tcm under the steering wheel. If anyone can help me locate a pinout for the 06+ transmission controller or even a pinout of the terminal in the pcm tray I would be extremely grateful and I might finally be able to get my beast back on the road. I’ll include a picture of the pins which are an odd organization and would be rather easy to identify if located. If anyone has access to this information please help, also available through email |
The Mazda dealer is being a dick... any time I have needed help they have printed it off the tech line
Maybe try a different dealer? If you don't have any luck PM me and I can go get the info for you |
Do you need the 4EAT or the 6AET, I can try to get it for you

Awesome. That's the dealer you should frequent when you actually need dealer help.
What goes around comes around. I wish more dealers would figure that out and quit treating DIY car guys and gals like crap... |
