Searching for a decent 8

Just would like to introduce myself as a new member. I must say I have used this forum alot over the years, but never had a reason to join as the answers I was looking for were available via the search bar. So with that being said, I have been searching for a series 1 rx8 for nearly 5 years. I have paid for 6 compression test only to find that the motor is failed or borderline. Now I don't mind replacing the motor but I would like to own the car for a little while before doing that. The funny thing is every owner insisted that there car was fine and a compression test was just a waste of money lol. But they would agree to it since I was footing the whole bill which typically was around 100 bucks. Anyways the search continues I think if I really want one I am just going to have to buy one with a boderline engine and replace it when it fails. It's a shame because it is a beautiful vehicle, alot nicer than the 1985 rx7 I bought in high school for 1300 dollars which was still running when I sold it with 180,xxx miles on it.

What's your budget?

Hi Big Cajuan. My budget is around 8000 which I think is reasonable for my area which is south west pennslyvania.

That should get you a nice S1, if you can find one in good shape.
Good luck with your search.

That should net you a really nice S1. I have mine up for sale but I'm asking a couple grand north of that, and I'm far way from you. If you look in CO though you can find a few low mileage GT stick examples. Hopefully you find something you like, they are fun cars!
