searched for 30 minutes cant find what my spark plug gap should be
 

Hey i have a 04 '8... installed new ignition but I have a feeling the gap on the iridium's are set wrong. What are they supposed to be at? same for all 4? Two were at 035 and 038. Didnt bother to verify they were right because they are supposively pregapped

According to NGK's web site: .043". I replace my plugs yearly, which means my car has seen ~7 sets of plugs, and I have never bothered with the gap. I doubt that is why you are having starting problems. Be very careful when changing (and even measuring) the gap on Iridium plugs. You can damage them very easily. Also be sure your measuring the gap correctly and that you have a good gauge.

I am reminded not to trust what the guy behind the counter says lol. It occured to me later that he didnt use the proper gauge, the silver dollar sized gauge doesnt exactly fit between the electrodes..

Between melted coil/connector and turning the motor off after 10 seconds or so on a cold start its obviously been flooded. I went through two different deflooding procedures but I think I gave up too soon. I can post a video of my last attempt at starting which was after.maybe 5 to 10 minutes of engine crank disabled fuel with plugs out

Didnt keep her on for more than 10 seconds on a cold start. Replaces plugs and wires with NGK. I noticed that the old plugs were actually all leading plugs. From what I heard the leading plugs run hotter and likely didmt adversley affect the integrity of the engine. Replaced all 4 coils with BHD's The T2 coil and connector were partially melted together and I did replace the connector as well and used butt connectors. But I didmt hear a CLICK like I did with the other 3 coil connectors. Replaced plugs and wires with

I'm on my 4th set, never gapped, not necessary unless you accidentally bend the side electrodes.

I never gapped mine either. Service Manual says the gap should be between 0.044 and 0.046 inches.

Most spark plugs nowadays are pre-gapped and unless you buy spark plugs that's used on several models(not true for 8) or you are racing with special needs, there is no need to gap.

And when you say you crank the engine for 5 minutes, how long did you crank each time? Cranking for more than 10 seconds each time can damage the starter, although that might give you an excuse to replace the 04 starter with a 09+ one.
