scraping sound 3-5 gear @ 2750-3250 rpm

ive had my 04 for about 2 yrs , new engine 7k , new transmission 800 mi, stage 2 clutch 80 mi, radiator/resovoir/hoses. 3k . Major components brand new . actual mileage little less than 104k, i know how to take care and treat the car.

in 3rd 4th and 5th at around 3k rpm horrible noise underneath, sounds like scraping metal, not grinding like synchros , it goes away after 3500 and is consistent with throttle. i do know the synchros for those gears are on the same side , one suggestion was synchros but the trans only has 800 miles , 2 seperate ppl said this and i think its the clutch install because it only happened after the new clutch, any ideas ? or explanations ? dont have the time to do anything myself being a soldier so im forced to have somewhere do the labor ..

I would start by bleeding your clutch line and ensuring that you have enough trans fluid. If your clutch line has air bubbles it may not be fully actuating and you could be grinding gears.

Can you post a video?

Check your transmission fluid levels. Dose it go away when its fully warmed up?

release bearing can screech, viciously. But, tough to only have problem with a few gears. Trans fluid, as stated above, is first thing to check.

trans fluid good new trans at 800 and checked when was on the lift , the clutch is new i dont see why i would had to do the bleed , ill try it out though and the new engine came with new flywheel , oem . i feel like its the synchros being only 3 4 and 5 being on the same side but i cant imagine 800 miles on a new trans and synchros out ?

And ill try the video ,

There is also a fair enough chance that the noise you hear is the rear stationary gear, which I have seen/heard before too, even with OEM flywheels and it is also somewhat normal(ish).

I think it is the noise we used to call the "marbles in a can" sound.

doesnt sound like that at all , more like ur dragging metal on the ground really fast , that kind of noise.
