S2 Tail lights with out the clear covers
I have a serious issue with water building up and condensation in my S2 tail lights and yes i have seen the threads on this issue. I am thinking about just taking the dremel and cutting the "lens" (clear cover) off of the lights and leaving it like that, (kamikaze style) Is there anything I should be concerned about by doing this. (bulb life) etc?

Just take the light out and drill holes on the bottom to let the water out.

You will get a ton of water in the trunk that way. Just take the lights out and silicone the gasket... or put in new gaskets. Make sure that the channel for the water to run down isn't blocked Also make sure the lens isn't cracked |

check and make sure the gasket on the back of the light is still in good shape (if not replace it) as well as the orings that seal the bulb base to the back of the housing are in good shape and sealing properly (and if not replace them). Replacement is cheap and easy, easier and faster than what you are considering doing for sure.
