UK rx8 (idle and stalling problems)

hi guys can any of you help me i have a 2004 rx8 231 model im having idle and stalling problems also it smells like its running very rich and does smoke a fair bit it seems to drive fine just when i let off the throttle it stalls and only idle when cold as soon as the car gets hot it wont idle i have just put new spark plugs on it and has made no diffrence could anyone help please also it has only done 54 k with

One of the rules states that you must have a clear title for your thread. We shouldn't have to open it to see what it's about.



Time your cold start and your hot start. If the hot start takes noticeably longer, take it in to a Mazda dealer for a compression test, the motor is probably failing.

If everyone's first post was against the rules, it would be a rather big mess to clean it up?

There are announcements and stickies at the top of this subforum, where the rules are linked or posted several times, trying to get people to read them even before their first post.
