Replacing fuel rail/injectors

hiya guys, just had my recalls done and it was pinpointed that the o rings on my injectors were failing and I've ordered a whole new stock fuel rail w injectors. Anyways, it'll be here soon and I wanted some pointers on how to remove everything above the fuel rail so I can safely remove it and put the other one in. I know the UIM has to come off but I'm not sure how to do it. I've read the post already about doing it, but I wanted to know if anybody had an extra pointers/ writeups/ pictures. Only done this on Hondas before I'm trying to not fuck it up lol. Any help is appreciated

Going from memory here. This is by no means complete or exhaustive but it should be enough to get you most of the way. You may run into hoses or wires that I've forgotten to mention. Label everything that you remove with tape or by placing into labeled ziplock bags.
  1. Disconnect the MAF and VFAD wire harness.
  2. Disconnect the VFAD vacuum line from UIM (just behind throttle body) and VFAD (hard line under the airbox).
  3. Disconnect breather hoses from accordion tube.
  4. Loosen hose clamp at throttle body end of accordion tube.
  5. Pull accordion tube back to separate from throttle body and remove tube and airbox as a unit.
  6. Disconnect throttle body wire harness.
  7. Disconnect coolant lines to/from throttle body (a small amount of coolant will leak out).
  8. Disconnect fuel lines (between UIM and brake booster). Both are two-part connectors with inner and outer ring. They are a pain in the ass but not impossible. After you get the fuel lines off, put the plastic rings back on to avoid losing them or forgetting how they went together.
  9. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the brake booster.
  10. Disconnect the vacuum hoses from the VDI/SSV/SAIP actuators (they connect to the solenoids mounted to the back of the UIM).
  11. Disconnect the wire harness from the three solenoids on the back of the UIM.
  12. Disconnect the wire harness from the solenoid at the front of the UIM (look behind the alternator, between the LIM and throttle body).
  13. There are two nuts near the oil dipstick. Remove them.
  14. There are 5 bolts holding the UIM on. Three connecting the UIM to the LIM and two connecting the UIM to intake runners that feed the APV. Remove them and the UIM should be free. Two will be annoying because they are up against the firewall. You'll figure it out. Inspect the rubber gaskets.
  15. There are 4 more fasteners holding the intake runners that feed the APV. Remove them and the runners should be free. Inspect the rubber gasket.
  16. There should be a rats nest of wires and hoses on top of the engine. Have fun with them.

It may also be necessary to remove the LIM... I can't remember how much space there is to work with between it and the injectors. If so, you'll have to put the car on stands and use a jack to support the engine while removing the engine mounts and brackets. Once that is done, you can shift the engine over to the driver side to allow for this.

This is also a good reference (though it has a ton of info you won't need).
