REBUILD WONT crank and start
 

DID a rebuild replacing all seals ,gaskets put back together and now the car will not crank or start need help asap its driving me crazy not being able to get it back on the road need help in anyway possible

I'm having the same issue. I bought a fresh rebuild car recently and PO started the car has recently been rebuilt. I've gotten all the recipes that from the rebuild. When I bought the car, he took me for a test drive then we loaded it onto the trailer. I got it started to get it off the trailer and let it idle while I parked it. While moving the car to park it I stalled it getting used to the clutch. I can get the car started by push starting it but it wont idle after that. I have a p0661 code and a p2259. I've replaced the coils and spark plugs since I got the car. I even did a compression test but with a piston test kit. Each rotor face was even but the highest combined compression for both rotors were 60psi. Sorry if I thread jacked but would like some help.

Won't crank probably means no electricity going to the starter. Do you hear a click as the starter solenoid extends the starter gear?

Aaron: it won't crank like the starter doesn't turn, or like it turns but the engine doesn't fire?

alj_95: start your thread man. 60psi by any measure is way below the failing line. How many miles since the rebuild? If it was literally just rebuilt then maybe it needs to run in, but even then, none of this is great. Who did the actual rebuild work?

In both cases, if the rebuild only included changing seals and gaskets while reusing worn out of spec big parts, then those are not 100% engines.

The codes you have both indicate an electrical problem, one with the secondary air injection (not that important), the other with one of the 3 intake valves, the SSV (keep your car from running kind of important). Perhaps the respective solenoids need to be replaced, but review the wiring while you're there.
