Rear Hub Extraction

Hi Everyone, I have tried to remove my rear hub to fit the Firebird longer studs for my AP racing brake kit. Do I need to remove the ABS sensor to pull the hub out? It has moved around 6mm or 1/4" but now it's solid. Reading in the posts it says you have to split the bearing then replace it, is it easier to remove the whole assembly and use a fly press to push it out from behind? I'm a little worried about all of the arms and splitting all the rod ends.

Any advice would be appreciated

You have to take the entire hub off and press the axle stub out. When you do the wheel bearing is destroyed in the removal process and must be replaced. Plenty of discussions in the appropriate forum areas on the process if you bother to look. In some cases it will pull off once you unbolt all the arms etc. but if there is a lot of corrosion it may not and you still have to pop the axles off to press the old bearing half off the stub and the other half out of the hub. The bearing basically pulls apart in the inner and outer halves when you separate the axle and hub.
