Power Steering Issues... Again

Sorry to bring up so a recurring topic but I have started to have power steering issues... shocker. I drove the car without power steering for two weeks until today when I came across the proper procedure for the "Steering Position Sensor Initialization" process. I disconnected the neg battery terminal then reconnected it, did the "ignition on, lock right, lock left, ignition off, start car" process and the light flashed off for not even half a second before coming back on so I repeated the process and the light stayed off. I took the car for one drive less than half a mile long then another one for about 5 miles. Into the second one, the power steering shut off in a corner. I shut the car off and did the initialization process again and the light turned off, for another 5 minutes before turning back on. I drove the car home, took apart the steering column and disconnected the connector for the angle sensor, reconnected it, then did the process twice again and got the light to turn off for a split second again before coming back on both times. My guess is that my position sensor is bad and I need a new one. Anybody have any other ideas as to what is going wrong with the car?

Okay, or does anybody know where I can just buy a new Steering Angle Sensor?

I'm having a similar issue I have tried everything as far as electronic to fix the problem. disconnected all the plugs that they say to clean and put di-electric grease on them and NONE of it worked. After doing all that the power steering still fails after some time. Only thing I can think of now is it is something mechanical. So I have my car on blocks and took out the steering rack and plan on perhaps taking it apart to maybe clean or find out what is making my steering go out.
