Oil cooler lines for $180? Yup :-)

https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rx8...cb8d1f1d37.jpg Hey everyone I'm a new owner of an 04 RX-8 and needed new lines. I was shocked that least expensive ones available were $500! So I got my measurements and went to my local hydraulic shop and in 45 minutes had my lines. They are much higher quality, 2 layers of SS braiding, 3500 psi, 600 deg, and abrasion resistant outer lining. It cost me only $180, so remember, buy local! https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rx8...7d2dee2655.jpg https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rx8...43b0b61f47.jpg https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rx8...330d96b85a.jpg |
Really cool!
Did you bring the old ones with you as a reference for the shop? I notice the ends/fasterners (whatever you call 'em) are not the same as the OEM ones. No point to make there, just a remark. |

Then used that hose for the longest line and only wasted $5 in hose. I used adapters to convert from the banjo bolts to flare fittings |
Yep, many have done this over the years. Good work!
