Engine drop. Starting process
Hey guys. I recently purchased a 05 rx8. Gen 1 from what I have been reading. I drive it for 1 day before the starter went out. I brought it to the dealership to replace starter. They said after they put it in it wouldnt start. So they had to spin the flywheel to get it start. So behold 1 rotor done. I get it to my uncle's shop. We drop the engine, thank god for the process posted here, now we got a engine (which I learned after the fact was from a 06) installed. I have been reading multiple processes on starting it after putting a engine in. Which doni follow. We have done the 20 pumps on the break and holding the odometer button down until test pops up. Am I missing something bc it is not turning over.

. Test the starter. There are a thousand different things.
So the engine doesn't turn at all or it turns but doesn't crank? |

Sorry for the hella late reply. It was trying to turn over. But it ended up being flooded. We had already primed it for oil. But it is running. An amazing car.

It is truly an amazing vehicle. I have driven Eclipses for years with the exception of 1 Maxima. And this 1 takes the cake. Just a overall amazing machine. I'm loving it.
