NGK Hot Spark Plug
I read somewhere that theres an NGK Hot Spark Plug that Mazda used on the RX8 to minimize Hot starting issues...
So Are they still Laser Iridium Plugs like the stock ones that come with the RX8? Any one tried them? |
Whatever you read, close it and never open it again. There is ahotter heat range spark plug, but it doesn't help starting and makes everything else worse. Unless you're permanently racing, it's not for you.

There is a stock "hotter" plug that Mazda used in colder climates to keep them from fouling as easy. I had them in my car years ago and didn't notice ANY difference I run 10.5 or 11 heat range plugs at the track. they are " colder" plugs and they will foul if idled too long. They do lower the chance of detonation at higher cylinder pressures in extended WOT runs |
Oops, I got my colder and hotter backwards. What he said^^

Read up on ignition coil failure, catalytic converter failure and don't drive until you have those fixed or verified good. |
