nice....
K&n and the likes will def make the car breath beta, hp or 2..
The downpipe also adds a hp or 2.. car pulls and sounds beta, consumption is slightly beta as well.
Hand storage????

K&N will actually make the car breathe worse. There's only a few intakes that keep the status quo. the stock box is one of the best available! AEM, Mazdaspeed, and Racing beat and that's pretty much it.

BHR makes a midpipe that can add a bit of HP, this is mainly by removing the CAT http://black-halo-racing.myshopify.com/

Welcome to the Club! very nice 8 looks like you have the mazdaspeed kit on there!

Yes.

Read the new and potential owners sticky thread, as well as the mod sticky in the new members forum.

The hand storage (aka cup holders?) Is warm because of the location of the exhaust /cat converter. You may have a bad one if you're overheating badly. Midpipe should solve that.

The "good one" is already on your car ;)
If you take a moment to see how it's set up, it's already getting air behind the bumper, the coldest possible.

Nice car by the way, keep it in good shape. Read those stickies and make sure your ignition is healthy. No sense spending money on mods when basic maintenance needs doing.

Only AEM and Racing Beat make intakes that are better than the stock airbox, and they are only slightly better. You may gain 2-3HP at 7500 RPM. All other intakes are worse than stock and rob power and cause problems with rough idle.

Read this thread. It is very thorough in discussing mods for this car.

Racing Beat makes a good header that may add 2-3HP at high RPM. BHR makes a good midpipe that may add 2-3HP at high RPM.

You should be noticing a pattern. Adding HP to this car is difficult and expensive, because Mazda already pretty much maxed it out.

I don't know what a "handbox" is, but I assume you are talking about the cupholder area. It is heated by the transmission and catalytic converter. It is normal to a large degree, but I suggest checking your catalytic converter to make sure it is not clogged. That is a common problem with RX-8s.

thank you all again :)
i decided to buy the intake because of the sound...
but, whem the intake is install the can starting and right away turned off
its because of the mass air but i dont know what to do to make it works

My immediate guess is a vacuum leak. It could also be a confused MAF due to turbulence.

Which intake did you buy?

Our car is VERY hard to please in terms of its intake. You cannot escape that fact.
