ARE THE AIR INTAKE SOLINOIDS CAUSING THE THESE SYMPTOMS???????????\


This car runs and drives new engine and transmission from JDM in 2023 July Rotor 1: 101PSI Rotor 2: 90PSI Has a start issue if the engine temp is above 170 degrees it won’t start for some reason But once it gets down to 150 degrees it will start up no problem Problem is the solenoid is stuck open on the air intake, which causes a vacuum leak which causes too much air and that’s why it stalls. It’s a $200-$400 fix. I do plan to fix it when I do this price will double. The codes that come up are p2016 p2009 p2004 that’s it CarPlay/android auto

You can post here. Yes the solenoids could cause this. They're not that expensive though, are you able to do the work yourself? Replace all 3 not to have to redo it.

But having all 3 codes tells me maybe they're just not connected? They refer to the solenoid and the position sensor which are 2 different things. Also depending on which valve it is, it could actually be stuck open (p2004). Check for free movement by hand. The valves are called SSV (the most common problem and easiest to reach), VDI and APV.

90 psi isn't great for rotor 2 there, but what rpm is that reading at? Hot or cold? Rotary compression can't be tested with a piston tester reliably.

That's... suspicious. Mazda makes new engines yes,, but there's nothing JDM about it. And if it's a second hand JDM engine from an importer how did they know the year of manufacture. Where did you buy it?

 

Trying to believe the current owner that has not yet showed me the receipts from the purchase. New Engine? 2K Miles?
