New to forums- rx8 rew build questions

Hi guys, new to the forums, name is Shane and from Australia. I am about to undertake a REW conversion on my rx8 and have just a couple snags I wanted to clear up before going ahead. I have worked out most things but a few are as clear as mud for me.

1. front covers. Ive read builds with REW covers and builds with Reni ones. I cant find a good enough answer to solve my problem so I have to ask it outright.
What is the main reason for keeping the reni cover in the swap?
I read the electric OMP but then I hear other people saying the elec is no good anyway, or there are only 2 lines compared to 4 on the REW. Reni cover would need to be milled out to allow the rew counter weight and then welded and a bypass oil line installed. all which I wont be able to do myslef= more money. Then faced with bolts not lining up with oil pan/water pump and a aircon bracket requied for rear bolts.
REW is a lot easier and since I'll be doing this in my shed easier is better+cheaper. But from what I've read the aircon might not line up is this correct? eg its too low or wide? or can the FD aircon even fit the reni aircon connections? other then that I don't see any other issues that would make me want to swap the cover, just seems like alot of pain for little gain. can the reni aircon be fitted to the REW block as easy as a bracket that would be needed anyway?

If however the aircon will not work then thats a game changer and give me the reni front cover... I'll do what ever I need to for that aircon.

If someone could clear that up for me I would be super chuffed.

Now on to my second question
I've read a little bit but not alot of info about a return fuel line. or rather installing a new supply line and using standard supply line as the return. Could someone give a clearer idea on this and what have people done. can a surge tank be installed under bonnet and return just to the surge tank or are most people running a whole new line down to the fuel tank?

Really loving the forum, so much info here.

Thanks for any help

Eastie.
