My rx8 experience :)

What's up forum :D

back when i bought my RX8 in december 2015, I decided to document my experience and adventures with it on youtube. I knew that there were a lot of car vloggers out there, so to stand out of the croud, I decided to add a bit of my humour, to make it more fun and entertaining to watch :yelrotflm

The goal of my channel is to show the rx8 experience trough the owner's perspective, and to take the viewers with me on all of my adventure with it.

The channel has vlogs, DIY to do on the rx8, and a comedy series called Driven by madness.

If you like the idea, feel free to check out my channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCo8...b9VF009SqtTJqg

You are welcome to subscribe to show support and suggest future content :D

Here are some examples of my videos: :Peace:

funny vids, only you're forgetting the more important winter preps (see manual).
You' ll need a window scratcher (rain-x doesnt always do its job), you gota check the battery/cables (low temps reduce capacity), change/use oil for cold weather conditions (low temp viscovity), check ignition system, use windshield washer fluid with anti-freeze (NOT FROM THE COOLSYSTEM), dont use the parking break but instead use P stand on automatics and 1 or R on manuals (and block the backwheels when parked steep).
Also:
If ABS fails during any extreme weather conditons alwyas use pump motions when braking.
Watch out for you're rims when using snowchains.
And these are just some of the things from the manual.

like the vids also. Don't recommend driving your car with that low a fuel level. Exposes the fuel pump out of the fuel which helps cool it. Helps cause fuel pump heat buildup and stress, leading to premature pump failure.

Caught this the other day. I applaud the effort and he has some good RX-8 insights but, alas, I found the video painfully unfunny. Maybe it's funny in the country in which it was shot.

I'm enjoing it while its enjoyable without restrictions. Once i start working with the suspension and body ( yes repainting is needed, and that's why i don't care much about the current paint), then the car will be limited only on the street.

The redneck lifestyle was a part of my childhood and how i grew up. And above other considerations, it's fun :) especially to take a car out of it's comfort zone :mdrmed:

i would never do that to my baby :) when she feels good, she makes you feel good
If you'd ever 'mad max' out you're car, you think 4x4 would be possible?

I am 6ft, 3 1/2 inch tall and i fit in my RX8, just. With the seat back all the way and some tilt to the backrest and steering wheel, I find a comfortable position. I have taken long trips with no discomfort and I have good position for the pedals, armrests and steering wheel.

Had an FD RX7 and that was much tighter.

Well, i'm happy that you found your sweet spot :) But the driving position that i have, does not allow me to fold my seat back too much, and if i get one sweet spot right, there will always be another one that will borther me a bit.

I'm sayng this, because i'ive been working for 10 years in a 5 start hotel as a bellboy, and i've driven every car you can list, from ghetto cars to supercars.

And i know a comfortable position when i see one and feel one, and i'm sorry, but the rx8 does not offer a good compromise for me, as does for example a BMW, and for that kind of money that the rx8 was selling for, it should.

Not haiting here, just telling my opinion based on experience. :o:

Sorry for your seating issues Drivenbymaness. I have been able to find comfortable seating in all seven of the rotary cars I have owned for street and track. My track RXs had racing Recaros put in place of the stock seats. It was a tighter fit height-wise with a helmet, but I made it work. Even Recaro had enough of a choice for me to find a good fit.

The worst fit for me of any of my RXs was the RX7 FD . I had to literally be poured into that car, but the pleasure of driving it was worth it and even in the FD I could make long trips. I felt like I was actually "wearing" that FD, rather than "sitting" in it.. LOL

That's awesome :D 7 rotary cars, now that's an achievement.

I can take for example my modified peugeot 307. It has recaros inside, and the height is perfect, altho is has a fixed position, lots of side support and even for long journeys, i cna relax my hands on the armrest and door armrest, and i fit perfectly.

i think its down to the length of legs, torsos and arms... i'm rather thin and have a long torso, and legs. But non the less, i've aleady adjusted myself in the rx8, and every ride is an enjoyable ride :) But i wish i had foldable bucket seats instead or the original. But i will change them in the future.

And here's this week's video :D Something different for a change ;)
