Mazda 19" wheels...R3 vs Mazda 6

Hi,

Since ive own my 2010 RX8 GT for the past 2 month ive been trying to get OEM 19" wheels...the R3 wheels was always considered but everywhere I looked they are like $400 a piece still.

Now i noticed the newer Mazda 6's has 19" wheels and looked close to the R3's but are like $150 a piece.

But Im trying to look for specs on it i.e weight, offset dimensions but cant seem to find them...

So my question is aside from them coming from different cars are both wheels almost the same in terms of specs?

R3 wheels are forged and weight something like 22lb, 19x8 47 offset

A quick google search says Mazda 6 wheels are 19x7.5 50 offset and weight over 30lbs. Source is a single forum post so might not be accurate.

Wheels can generally be summed up thus:

Light
Strong
Affordable
-------------
Pick two.

Mazda 6 wheels would work but for a bit more, you can find better on TireRack.
Of course, R3 wheels would probably be one of the better choices. Our cars are low on torque as it is. This will be much more noticeable with heavy wheels that have much of their mass moved even further away from the center.

The R3 wheels are forged and made by BBS and weigh about the same as a stock RX-8 Sport package 18" wheel.

Soooo... No real reason to change aside from aesthetics?

Nope, tires are more $$ in 19's as well. And if you are going 19", you might as well go wider.

So at that point in time I may as well be FI and put it all to use. I was considering sizing down on diameter and keeping the current width.

Yeah performance wise some light 17 x 9's would be nice.
