Lucky RX8 owner needs help!
Hey guys how's it going? I'm proud to say that I am now the owner of a 2004 RX8 with lower miles, and quite a bit of mods! I need help as where to go to get my car checked out if I have any problems and just general knowledge. I'm a noob when it comes to cars let alone rotary engines. The only problem I can say I have off the bat right now is that the driver side door will not unlock the previous owner told me it was a spring and easy to fix. Please help me?

Posts like this belong in either "troubleshooting" or the appropriate subsection, in this case, "interior".

He's a new member, so this is the only place he can post.
This forum is likely to become a really good repository of answers (and pointers to answers) to questions that new owners have. Newcomers will be able to get a lot out of just browsing here, rather than tackling the search engine.

It started with the new member forum. I don't see the announcement any more - just a follow-up announcement about how we all passed through noob status as part of the process.

the problem might not be the outside handle but the fork inside fell out of place check this first by removing the door panel put the latch back in its place or replace the broken bit that wont hold it
as far as your handle goes (on 99% of cars) there is probably a groment (rubber cover) in the doorjamb on the door that you remove to acess a screw or a bolt you loosen to get the keyhole part out to work on the handle. take it out look at it if something looks broken, repair or replace then reassemble.
some cars require you to take off the interior door panel to completely release the handle do a search if it comes to that iv seen plenty of those diy's on here
good luck and be gentle

haha! I'm glad you asked, to get in and out of my car I have to crawl over to the passenger door it's a pain but worth it to drive such a nice car and here's some pics. For mods it is lowered on jdm sprint springs, has jkm clear corners, 6000k hid, axle flow short shifter, race roots sychro saver, optima red top, hawk hp pads, turbo xs race pipe, and as you can see the stock rims are painted black lol

welcome, since your in chi-town check out Evolv Chicago it the local Rotary Car Club.
EVOLV-Chicago
theres a meet this saturday if you want to meet some other rotary owners.
if your still looking for someone to check out your car, Continental Mazda in Naperville is real good (their parts guy and a few tecs are rotary owners). also Shook out in Rockford is a Rotary specific mechanic, if you got serious problems.
