Lamin-X Headlight Tint?

Has anyone used is brand? Looking to lightly tint the headlights and this brand seem to be popular but expensive, any feedback will be appreciated

Lamin-X is good. Tinting your headlights is illegal though. I have clear Xpel film on mine.

Well that sucks. My Xpel has been on in the Texas heat for a year or so and is holding up fine. I purchased brand new headlights and had the film put on right away.

I noticed a light crack at the inside edge of mine after 3 years and eventually pulled them off. Not noticeable on mine luckily, but I know two other owners who used it and had their headlights completely filled with stress cracks after a year or less. It looked great, before the cracks...

I am doing mine this weekend with yellow -- I hardly drive at night in the R3 since it's really my track car but in PA there is no wording on what color your headlights have to be. They will bug the crap out of me but again it's not a car I really drive at night so I'm not worried about it.

I just really like the yellow headlights against the red; yeah I'm really weird--sorry.

The lamin-x ones come in the very light tint and that's what I would want sice it will be drove at night sometimes and plus I think I will have less of a chance of being pulled over with lighter tint then the dark, just scared to pull the trigger because of it being a pain to install!

Give it a shot; worst thing you get pulled over and you rip it off right there. They'll probably be nice, maybe. I know they've done that here in PA. Buddy had his literally blacked out and cop was going on about how it's illegal. Buddy walked to headlight and removed it and apologized. Cop let him go and said next time he saw him with it he'd get a ticket. He never put it back on.

Yeah; don't take what I said above as good measure--every state and cop is different.

PA is one f'd up state right now. No headlight info; tint is so stupid--they don't say what kind you can have so it's at discretion of the officer. I get harassed at least once a week with 15% on my 2013 Ford SHO. I think it's more because I look unmarked LOL.

This is an option when you don't want your headlights scratched too...

I did it to keep away the oxidation that happens. My old head lights were just beyond polishing after 10 years, they would only look good for a month or so.

This is Canary's car, a local guy. He has the tinted laminex ones. But his car is just a show car for the most part.

I would wonder if some films contribute to cracking due to trapping of UV exposure under the film. Older factory HID bulbs like ours (especially with cheap non-Philips/Osram/etc bulbs) generate a decent amount of UV radiation.

I've seen a few RX-8's with said films in person and all of them eventually developed cracking. Obviously, it could also be the adhesive having an effect on the plastic.
