Were it mine, I’d take it to a good body shop. Not the dealer. But I’m real anal about the appearance of my car. You want a shop with a rep for doing great work. So look for a place that handles exotic cars, Porsches, Bentleys, sports cars, even classic restorations. The work will cost a little more, but it will be done right.

In the past, I’ve had work done by cheaper body shops, and inevitably there’s a problem: the paint matches in daylight but not in a parking lot at night, or the paint starts to bubble a year after the repair, etc. Drove me crazy.

Of course, if you’re not anal about this sort of thing, most any ordinary body shop will probably do work that’s good enough.

Hmm, you just have to do a bit of research online. Go to the Porsche, Jag or BMW regional forums and search for “good body shop in Oklahoma”. Go to a local “cars and coffee” or muscle car show, walk around, and ask guys who they recommend for body work. And, mind you, it doesn’t have to be “classic car restoration” good! Just has to be a place with a reputation for good work. If you start asking around - online and in person - you’ll discover who does good work.
