Installing hi power motor in standard 4 port

Hi

Hopefully someone has some info for me.. I've just bought a standard rx8 originally came out with a 4 port manual 5 speed gear box. I bought the car as a shell without any existing motor. I want to put the hi power 6 port motor in. When it comes to the ecu, what differences does this make. I know. The ecu won't communicate with the different motor but also know that there is a way around everything

You need the. 6 port ECU. The 4 port doesn't know how to drive the 2 extra injectors or trigger the intake valves... Nor are the VE maps appropriate. There isn't a way around those things.

At the same time ECUs should be easy to come by? You'll just need Mazda to code it to your ignition key cylinder so it doesn't think it's being stolen.

Hooray something I can speak with authority on!

You will need
6 speed ecu
6 port engine wiring harness
6 port air intake (VFAD / duct / actuators)
6 port gauge cluster (shift warning beep comes from the tach, not the ecu)

Dont need but nice to have
High power driveshaft (four port is steel, six port is carbon fiber)
