Nice clean car, you can tell you are from Iceland from all the plumbing in the garage.
There are some great fitment threads under the wheels section.
I have coilovers and when they are on it is bumpy but the car feels alive, and looks way better without wheel gap. Your your rim choice is great.
Cheers.

Nice Car, what country are you from? Is it a Hi-Power engine? I noticed on this car, your not using a front plate. Is it not necessary?
This is just me, but I would stick to the 18's. The larger diameter wheels are heavier and the tires go up in price. Without the proper sizing of the tire will result in a slower launch than the car presently has.

well its a hi power engine yes, it just looks better without the plate. but i get a fine from police when they see me driving. hehe
Iceland is the country
well i really dont care about the weight of the rims. im going down from a 11 second evo to an rx-8. im not looking for any power at all. just great looks :D

thansk

why not? does the car not look low enough, is the ride uncomfortable

I wish I can go 19" or bigger wheels, but in NYC, I am considering to move to an even smaller wheels because the roads are getting worst every day. couple days ago one of my Mazda3's tires got pwned by a pothole on highway. its just sad.

Nice pics.

actually 18 is probably the best if you autocross cuz you can find tires easier with 18. bigger isnt always better if you just want looks.

no freaking way !!!

we have a pothole that can kill tires/wheels (or both) every block or 2. Im not lying.

and "mini pot holes" everywhere that will turn into big pothole.

in the past 5 years I got

1 set of coilover (HKS Hipermax III)
2 OE Wheels bent
4 tires cuz the pothole killed the sidewall (too deep, Boom!)
2 underbrace broke
2 of shock absorber broke (replaced under warranty)

and NYC will never fix the roads, they are just letting it rot, cuz city has no money.

yea, there was a study about tire size, increasing the tire size from 18 to 19 is actually a bad move.

I wanna try 19, but no way Im gonna try to get a set then getting pwn by the "great" roads in NYC.

I'm movin down to 18 from 19 for this summer. Tires are much cheaper, tire/rims are lighter.

I don't think I have heard of ANYBODY using air suspension .... I do not know much about it but would imagine that it is not very track friendly..... most people are oriented in that direction
