I am about to buy a 2005 rx8
I love everything about the car and i fell in love with it the day i test drove it. It has 83,000km on it and he has the following. New leads, new plugs, new hawk breaks, new battery and new coils. the car is listed for 8,500. When i took it out, it was so smooth, and spins so easy when in high rpm's. I called mazda and the car is going to get a compression test. The guy that is selling the car owned rotary engines all his life and i can tell he took really good care of the car. He has his rx7 in the garage. I have been reading forums for over two weeks now and this site has great info. What is a good score for the compression test and the rpm. Please let me know, what you guys think, and what advice you would give me

Posting the same thing in multiple threads around the forum is considered spamming, and may result in a ban.
Again, see my new owner's thread, post #7 has all the compression test info, including info on what scores mean. |

tsk tsk tsk double post https://www.rx8club.com/new-member-f...05-rx8-246472/
Anyway You need 3 readings per rotor Than normalize to 250 rpm You should compensate for altitude however Hamilton isn't that high. Temperature and Barometric pressure also count. Not doing any of the math I would say ... 6.9 at 288rpm mmmmm might not cut it edit Crap RIWWP beat me to it ... what he said |
