We can help you diagnose the problems, though I get the impression that you would rather just bring it to someone and let them fix it?

There is a whole list of problems that could be causing it, from the simple ignition failure (coils and wires need changing too, not just plugs) to dirty sensors that need cleaning, all the way to engine failure.

We would need lots more information and very detailed to really help via the web. Otherwise, perhaps some of the Miami guys would be able to help get you going.

Ricky SE3P 08-01-2013 09:54 AM

There are a few of us down here nearby who actually know wtf we are doing. Send me a request of fb if you have one and ill add you to MI8 Crew, we are active there and can help. If not just send me a message here and ill talk to everyone to see if we can help you.

Flooded :dunno:

Did you try the de-flooding procedure, check your plugs.

We really need a lot more than my car won't start

I'm no car expert I gave enough detail to the best of my ability. I do need a mechanic.

I thought it was that . So I googled how to de flood and called someone who has worked with rotary before but it still didn't start . I wish I could give more info but it was working fine and the next day I would turn the key and hear it as if it wanted to start but it just didn't .

Jessii615 08-01-2013 03:31 PM

Basically it will turn over it just won't fully start .

oh by the way t is automatic.

RIWWP 08-01-2013 06:33 PM

Since you can get it started periodically, if it's flooding, it's not flooding bad. It's likely ignition failure. How many miles are on the plugs, wires, ignition coils?

You are also burning out your starter cranking it for that long. 10 seconds should be the max length.

Note that is not my car in the video i placed that video as an example of the sound my car gives when i try to start it .. it never fully started like how it does in the video .. it only made the noise that it does in the very beginning of the video. I changed the spark plugs that same day i had the issue thinking it would correct it, but i didn't. As for the wire and ignition coils i have no idea. I was aware of the 10 sec being the max length when i tried de-flooding.

RIWWP 08-01-2013 06:56 PM

Ah, I misunderstood, I thought that was your video.

It may be flooded, but it may just simply not have sufficient spark. Coils and wires fail at pretty much the same time as plugs, having new plugs with failing coils isn't going to help much.

Hopefully some of the locals can assist you.

yea no idea how to change that thats why i need a mechanic. lol.

Ricky SE3P 08-01-2013 07:45 PM

What spark plugs were used when you replaced them? What "mechanic" tried helping you? How many miles on your car? Most of us usually aid and assist with getting work done on cars with food being payment, at least i do.. lol
Get me that info i asked, might just need ignition coils and wires.

Hahaha the spark plugs I used are NGK LASER the person who helped me isn't a mechanic but he has always owned a rotary car and done most of the work on his cars (but he lives far now ) and as for the miles I believe it is in the mid 100,***s not sure the exact number because my battery is already dead from not turning it on at all.

hmm ok. do you have a budget of what you can afford right now on parts for that "tune up"?

Jessii615 08-01-2013 09:39 PM

Truthfully not at all . I would just see what would be needed to get it running/fixed and go from there .

Truthfully no, I figured I would see what it needs to get fixed and running. To simply go from there .
