Hello! New guy here (also question about some codes?)

Hey everybody, I'm Alex.

I'm not a rx8 owner yet but definitely wanting to get one soon! I come here because I find useful all the threads for my friend's RX8. It's actually been more useful than going to a mechanic (at least that's what he says). In the other hand I surf more through bigcoupe.com for my car (Which is a e24).

Anyways, I have a question about some codes. Today after my third day working on my friend's RX8, from swapping wheels and figuring out why the car didn't wanted to turn on. I was able to deflood his RX8 through some threads I've read here. :) Although, I saw that the check engine light was suppose to flash and come off, this one stayed. We decided to take it to Autozone so they could read the codes and this is what we got:

P0107 Manifold Absolute Pressure/BARO Sensor Low Input
P0661 Intake Manifold Tuning Valve Control Circuit Low - Bank 1
P0661 Intake Manifold Tuning Valve Control Circuit Low - Bank 1
P0302 Cylinder 2 Misfire Detected

I have looked through some threads about the P0302 code. The spark plug wires and spark plugs were changed new before the car sat 3 months ago. When I was de-flooding the engine, I checked the spark plugs and cleaned them, I also made sure I had them in the correct order.

The guy in autozone said that it will be most likely the manifold sensor and it causes the car to use more gas than usual. My friend has noticed that the car wastes more gas, but he said this problem has been going on before the check engine light was on. So, I'm not clear on that :sweatdrop

He hasn't done any mods to the car really, other than swapping the wheels.

By the way, the car is an 2004, manual with 153k miles if that helps as well. Any threads or suggestions will be highly appreciated, thank you! And also, thanks for all the threads, it's been really helpful getting to know rotarys more. :boink:
