Hello, new to this forum, not to my 8

Hello all! I have been out of the game for quite a while now. I have a 2004 RX8 with 45k miles on the ODO. I grew up a Mazda kid, my first car was a 1991 miata, second was the 8. I did a bit of time, and just recently decided to reacquaint myself with this amazing machine. It was raining all day today, so I figured I'd hop in the garage and get her started. I was not too hopeful on being able to drive it today, but this example proves that proper maintenance and not beating the shit out of a rotary can make for some very easy once-every-six-year starts :)

My garage includes my 04 RX8, a 00 Subaru outback with almost half a million miles, and old 03 accord which a buddy of mine drives, a 15 accord which is way too techy, automatic and I cannot stand it, and my newest family member, a 2015 Challenger Hellcat that has less than fifteen miles on the ODO. Almost forgot my daily driver, my 2015 Yukon XL.

Looking forward to sharing with all of you!

Welcome! That's quite a garage. A 4 year old Hellcat that hasn't been driven? Saving up for retirement there? :)

Thank you Loki. Yes, I managed to grab one of the 3,420 original year Challenger hellcats (one just over 1,000 with a manual transmission) and put her to sleep. Although I am a not too into domestics, I saw how special the hellcat was and took a little gamble on it. Feel free to make an offer, I'll cop out right now for 150 ;) There is one out there with 41 miles on it, but that is over 100 1/4 mile sprints, not a leisurely 10 Mile drive from the showroom :)

Being completely honest though I couldn't QUITE afford a GTR, which run about $40k more than the Dodge.

My project this year is fully restoring this 8 to perfect running condition. It has only reached max speed once in it's life (I had to see if 147 was a real number), and I may have done five standing sprints during it's life. I am the original owner so I know it has been very well kept. I have logs of every single thing ever done with and to it, including mileage of every fill up and overall MPG ofeach tank.

2 Accords too? 4 banger or the V6? I had an 08 Accord Coupe V6 before my 8. And yeah, it was an auto, and I couldn't stand it.

Accord is the only mid-size Sedan that currently has MT options for both engine sizes(1.5T and 2.0T). Tricky to find them but dealers can give quite a bit of discount because almost no one buys them. Sounds like you could trade the 15 up for a new one in MT, if that floats your boat.

They are both v6 accords. The 2015 has stupid power for what it is. Everybody needs at least one auto just in case their girl needs to drive one.

How do I get privliges to post elsewhere on this forum?
