This only adds power in the sense that it won't reduce power when you lose control.
Otherwise, this will do nothing to improve power output.

Leave it turned on so it can save your life and the lives of people around you when drive stupid.

I never turn off even on track day.

Once we started out on a slick barely wet track, and I was one of few who didn't spin off.

Car got loose once, started to spin, and traction control caught it.

I could hear individual wheels being braked which no one can do themselves.

If you drive right, you can get everything car will give, and traction doesn't kick in.

I leave mine on all the time, except for AutoX events.

DSC only cuts power when it has to, and you will see it activate on the instrument cluster.

^^^ that's exactly what I love about it. It's not a nanny, but it will save you if you do something really dumb.

I leave it on for the first few laps of a day, until everything is warm and I have a good feel for conditions. After that it's off, unless adverse conditions.

You mean it lets you control the car, until it is sure you have run out of talent? How horrible!

If you are breaking loose outside of AutoX/track on a regular basis, your tires are trash and you need something better.

My car came with some crappy Michelin all-season and it slipped with the lightest application of throttle. Got a set of Falken Fk 453 and it never slipped on the street ever again. Might try something even better next time as my set wears out.

Does your V6 Camaro have an LSD? I think you're confusing balance and DSC. The DSC doesn't decide how tail-happy your car is, that's it's natural behavior. The DSC does help you recover from slip (front or back) once you've induced it. Under what conditions are you finding it steps out too far? Full throttle? Off throttle?

Honestly I drive in the snow and ice and never had a problem. You might not be getting the best out of your car because of the tires it's on.

While I do drive spiritedly, I never test the limit of the car on the street, and the DSC has worked pretty well.

If you like to test the limit of your car, sign up for an Autocross event. Turn the DSC off and go wild. Worst that can happen is you crash into a bunch of cones, not innocent bystanders.

That guy would really have mind blown if he put on BHR ignition, and fuel pump.

I also got more powwa gearing down 7% with smaller diameter 215/40r18 Michelin PSS.

It's the dreaded 6 speed auto, and started out geared higher than manual, but it is much more fun now.

Same tires on both cars with same amount of wear? Just curious.
