Do I replace rotor or repair. Engine Specifications

Hi,

I have recently had a compression test carried out (Renisis 13b 07 Plate RX8 PZ) as I was burning excessive oil and loosing performance at higher revs. Approx compression values - Front 6, 6, and 6. Rear Chamber 5, 5, and 3 so we were expecting a side seal issue. I have stripped down the engine and low and behold the side seal is looking very poorly - potentially seized but not checked until it has finished an overnight dip in "Green Gunk" (apex seal very difficult to remove). Couple of questions:

1. Do I replace the rotor or is this repairable? - I am assuming replacement
2. Do I need to buy 2 rotors as a matched pair or is a single purchase ok?
3. On inspecting the chamber there are some light scuff but nothing too serious, I hope!
4. I have spotted blueing around the drive shaft - is this an issue?
5. Is there a link where I can get a listing of specifications that are a go/no go on engine parts?
6. Compression chamber irons do not look to be in too bad condition - is there. process to reline/clean up the side walls?
7. I noticed that the sump plate did not have a gasket and sealant was used - is this standard practice?

the oil pan doesnt use a gasket, its an rtv type sealant. there are specs for the irons but i dont recall them, not sure about the housings but im sure someone with chime in who knows better. looks like the "chrome" lining is pretty worn.

At some point, it would make more sense to just put everything back together and get a Mazda reman if you are not planning on building an engine for a specific need.

I don't think you can repair a rotor. There are some places that can machine the side plates, but you need to do some measurements to see if that's worth it.
