hello folks , Well after some time was able to diagnose the cooling problem i was having and noticed that antifreeze in the filter tray .theres a thin pipe in there, does it have anything to do with the antifreeze thats accumulating there. i noticed that the pipe is not attached to a rubber hose i assume goes there .Thanks Alex

do you mean the tube that comes off the expansion tank? got a pic?

well if you take out the filter there is a tray below the filter holder and there is a thin pipe do you know what its for Thanks ,mine doesnt have anything attached to it ,is it connected to cooling system .Im getting antifreeze there, Thanks Alex

small metal pipe under the airbox? its part of the vfad system. no there shouldnt be coolant there. looking at the engine to the left of the airbox theres a 90deg black rubber hose by the rad cap thats for overflow. it could be coming from there

That is for a valve in the intake. nothing to do with coolant

had another look ,it looks like its coming from the overflow tank hose and hitting the battery case and deflecting into the tray , thats what seems to be my overheating issue ,maybe too much in the rad ???????????

You're coolant coming out of the overflow has nothing to do with you're car overheating. That happens just because you're car is over heating.

You would be fine leaving it detached but on the stock intake on the back side of it there is some vacuum tubs that will hook to that. But it doesn't do anything crazy, There's a little flap in you're bumper and it moves the flap to help bring more cold air in, but you're car is fine with out it.

If you warm you're car up and feel the top and bottom rad hose one will be hot and one will be cold if you're water pump isn't working, I believe but someone can correct me if I'm wrong.

This is leaking coolant is due to the car over heating and the coolant boiling and it running out of that tube because it has no where else to go. Which is not the problem to why you're car is over heating.

Thanks , so it is overheating and not overflowing because of too much coolant in system

It's over heating and then over flowing. When the car is cold you can check to make sure it's not over filled by looking at the right side of the bottle and it show's a full line. Coolant being over filled won't cause the car to over heat

It's possible that it was overfilled. Coolant will expand as it heats. If it doesn't have enough space to expand, it'll get burped out the overflow tube.
Let the engine cool and fill the reservoir to the lowest mark.

It's also possible that you're overheating which will cause coolant to boil out the overflow tube.
Get an ELM327 OBD-II adapter and a smartphone app to look at your actual coolant temps (the dash gauge isn't reliable).

It's also also possible that you're getting combustion gasses pressurizing the coolant system causing coolant to burp out the overflow tube.
Get a $30 combustion leak detector (sometimes called a block tester). Follow its instructions.

You can also rent a coolant system tester from most auto parts stores.

For the overflow tube, it depends on how much it spews out.

If it's a very small amount in hard summer driving and your coolant is nearly the H line when cold, it's not anything to worry about.

If it's a very noticeable loss then yes, do the tests NAP suggested above.

Also, you should reroute that tube to somewhere else. The power steering connector is right below the tube and you don't want coolant dripping on it.

BTW, make sure your VFAD is plugged if you are going to leave it disconnected, or you will have a minor vacuum leak.

If the thermostat is stuck you will notice it.... it will overheat quite quickly.... unless its -20 outside 😎
