Coolant additives?

I've noticed several additive products designed to help keep engines cool like "Wetter Water" by Redline and was curious if anyone has any experience using them? Some of the claims sound pretty great but maybe too good to be true...thanks!

Mostly snake oil.

Water Wetter is old chemistry that polymerizes in many coolants, which creates a brown or black sludge.

Motul Mocool is a better product, but there is probably no compelling reason to use it, unless you are running only distilled water and need a corrosion inhibitor and water pump lubricant.

I've been using a product called Super Cool made by BG in my Corvette. I added it the last coolant flush this spring. I noticed that the coolant temps do not fluctuate as much and see to hold steady about 194 when cruising and about 210 in stop and go traffic. Cruising before was about 197 and in stop and go, I would see 220. This could be a result of the flush and new coolant more so than the Super Cool. With that said, I have not noticed any negative effects when using it.

I appreciate all the input, kinda confirms what I thought...no real shortcuts to staying cool! 😎
