Clutch issues

I just replaced my clutch master cylinder and after bleeding my clutch when the car is off the clutch is normal and stiff as it should be but when the car is on the clutch goes to crap and it's like I never bled it in the first place what should I do??

Two possibilities. You either still have air trapped in the system somewhere, or the master cylinder is defective. Also, did you replace the slave cylinder while you were in there?

No I haven't replaced the slave cylinder because the guy I bought it from said it was the master cylinder so I am currently waiting on the new slave cylinder to check and see if it may be the slave that is defective any methods that can help me get all of the air out of the system?

If the slave is bad, brake fluid will leak out of the boot, while you squeeze it.

Bleeding a master is one of those things that is sometimes cake and sometimes takes hours. There are 2 methods I use, and it usually requires both. I have a vacuum bleeder that I use to pull maybe a pint of fluid through the system. Then, I do the 10 pump method several times. Then, I use the vacuum bleeder again.

Ok I will try that and will let you know if that doesn't work thanks for the info
