Changing the LCD text display

Does anyone know the steps to change the LCD display above the radio? I read some forums and some people say you use a ac controls others say the metra kit. The cat did come with the metra kit but all of the links in other forums are no longer viable. Can anyone help by responding with the steps?

I am not sure what you are asking.
The LCD display is used only for Navigation.
The controls are directly behind the gear shifter and the Navigation CD reader is in the rear middle compartment.
Now sadly the Navigation map does not include my country so i thrown it away, and i never tested or fiddled around with the Navigation.

But try the control panel behind the gear shifter and look through the options.

There is an add on aftermarket module that sends data to the display. It is/was called the "Goodbox"

I'm not sure.its being sold any more.....

Someone has changed it before which is why I'm seeing what the steps are to change it.

If you're talking about the red text bar at the top of the center stack, there was a module out there called the RXduino developed by a forum member here that could do that. I actually have one and have tried messing with it, but it's kind of fiddly. I believe it piggybacks off CANBUS to interface.
