CEL U0155 & U0073 (Huge Problem)
Hi folks, since a couple of days my car wont start.
I scan with INNOVA 3150 and the error codes readed are U0155 and U0073. The car only cranks and when i try to start for a long time suddenly start but the engine shut down in 5 seconds, i scan again and still appears that two codes. Already try disconnecting the battery, erasing the PCM memory (brake method), cleaning the PCM connectors, erasing the codes with the scan and nothing happens !!! Before this my car start and run sweet. Please help me !!! Im really worried what can i do ??? |
That is a can bus error. Has the car been messed with wiring wise? Flood damage?

The U codes are just from your scanner. If you use another scanner, you likely will get different U codes. Very few scanners outside of Mazda's dealer tools will be clear of U codes.
Your engine is flooded with fuel, and the starting problem is due to either ignition failure, compression failure, starter failure, or battery failure. The codes have nothing to do with this. Fix the problem and your car will start fine. |

Flooding means an inability to start because of all the excess fuel in the engine. Deflooding is when you crank the engine for a long time to sweep all the excess fuel out of the engine, allowing you to start. This is what sounds like you are doing before it starts.
Then the engine starts, but you still have an ignition failure or compression failure, so it can't maintain idle and stalls. Your next attempt to start it results in a reflood, and the cycle repeats. An ignition tester (looks like a spark plug with a clamp) is $5 from the local auto parts store, and you can use it to test your coils and wires. Inspecting your plugs is usually enough to determine if they are failing. A compression test at the dealer will give you the engine compression scores. |
The spark plugs and wires are new, the coils i tested and are good.
The fuel pump can make this failure ? CEL blinks so a misfire its present , i will check tomorrow for unflood the engine, i will post a video , thanks for your help i let you know tomorrow |
