CT New Engine, New Hope

Hey Everyone,

My engine hit 100k and as expected, Rotor 2 **** the bed.
After searching the web, I found a website( SWEngines.com ) that seemed shady at first but after a month and reading through horrible reviews, my "new engine" ( 55k miles ) is being installed for a price of around $1,600 by the dealership. If anyone's in the NE area, I recommend Colonial Mazda in Danbury, Connecticut. These guys gave me huge discounts and did a lot of things to help me save money that I won't even mention because I wouldn't want anyone to go there feeling entitled.

In total I've spent ( $2,600 + $1,600 ) for the engine and installation. Then another few hundred to fix an oil leak.

I'm mainly writing this post to share the website in case anyone is looking for an engine and the location I visited in the hopes that someone else could finally enjoy their RX-8 again.
If anyone tries the website, just know it may take a month just to receive tracking info, be patient. Also, go to the dealership if you can. There's always at least one guy in a Mazda dealership who knows how to care for a Rotary, properly.

Regards,
Maniac in a white RX-8

Used engine is generally not a good idea as most people will tell you here. Where did you source the engine? Any warranty that covers the rotary engine specifically? Any compression test done on it?

Best of luck to you.
