20b NA swap
Hi there! At work my soldering station blew up so I had time to do nothing and just think and come up with some unuseful ideas(like the wasted apark thread I posted :D ). Basically I was thinking what the car will be like if i swap a 20b in it in NA config and put some things from the 13b-msp like s-dias, rotors to have bigger compression and do some porting to enlarge the ports and tune it to this configuration. What do you guys think? |
I think that would get you a Speedsource Grand-Am RX8 :)
Workstation explode you say.... I'll have to remember that. |
Unless you have a literal mountain pile of cash right beside you, I think it's the best for this to stay on paper...

The Speedsource cars claim 450hp, but they're not exactly working with OEM parts or real world drivability constraints. Who needs S-DAIS when the car spends its entire useful life above 6,000 rpm.

Your guess is as good as mine.

well a renny is
2 rotor na = 200whp; potato wtq since I'm bad at math 1 rotor renny style is 100whp; half a spud wtq so.. 3 rotor = 300whp; curley fries wtq |

The older NA FC makes much less power stock. So I am going to say that 270 whp can be possible, but you have to engineer the intake properly and that's very difficult. Otherwise there will be less power. |
it's not that optimistic new and/or healthy engine with all the bolt ons and a tune will get ~190-205hp :dunno:
also you would have to make custom header, intake and tune for a hybrid engine anyways so that right there would be the "restrictions" |
