e it for? 1500 actual miles !! never see rain

TripleRotor 02-16-2019 02:54 PM

I will offer $8000. The miles are too low, I doubt the oil was changed regularly.

sorry cant d othat. it has been righteously full serviced by dealer by the warranty up to present day ! we have all records and reciepts still has full coverage its my moms car and my parents are very anal about taking care of them

Motakai 02-16-2019 03:44 PM

Take no less than 15k brother, My R3 with 93,000 miles was 9k. I'm up in Canada.

hey thanks motakai, can use the input , its a rare unbelivable rx8 my mom wants 19000$ but so far i home worked shell have to wait for the right buyer maybe awhile or 15k for a quiker sale! she also has all the extras put on like protective gloss finish for the nose and more i have to pull all reciepts out. but thanks again for the reply ! good to here this site has some decent people on it

Motakai 02-16-2019 03:59 PM

At this point it's to be considered less of a driving car and more of an ultra low mile collectors item. If she wants 19k, she'll just have to wait for someone willing to pay that much for a mint Rx-8. It's not going to take long for low-mile well-documented examples to get these kind of values.

TripleRotor 02-17-2019 12:31 AM

Your mom can probably get that on a site called Bring a Trailer. Low mileage cars go for crazy prices! They sold a low mileage Supra for over $121,000 USD. They sold a 10K mileage 1991 Prelude for over $30,000 USD! (Don't forget my 5% finders fee!)

Unfortunately these things depreciate no matter how well you maintain them. Being a GT with low milage is great. But it's also an automatic, KBB puts you at 10-12k. Sit your parents down and have them expect 8-9k. The automatic kills it. Great condition.. but this car wont sell quickly. Good news though.. these cars seemed to have hit bottom.. so they won't depreciate much more.. but they also wont go up in value any time soon.

For persepctive, paid 12K for a 2010 RX8-GT with a manual and 30K miles in 2015. Immaculate records (all dealer services with 3K OCI) and had a reputable rotary repair inspection + rotary compression test results from an independent dealer (who was formerly a rotary mechanic for Mazda).

:ftw:  well didn’t you have just The Perfect set of events take place during your purchase. Haha. Goodness gracious.

I would buy it for $10k. Maybe a bit more if indeed all service documentation is available. I would go higher if I were closer, but it's a looong drive for me.

Fijibluefg2 03-13-2019 12:44 PM

Awww. Such a generous offer. Lol. I’ll give $10,001

not that the owner would ever sell it that low.

Hi. I’m very interested in your RX8 , was wondering if you still have it for sale or if it’s sold?
