1st time rx8 owner Need help with hose diagram

Hey guys, glad I can be part of the forums. So I'm been rebuilding the engine on an rx8 I bought. Yes, it doesnt run. When I first came across it for $800 it had just the engine and tranny mounted with awesome interior inside. Title is salvage yadiyada.... Anyways so all the parts required to put the car together were already there available for me. Now I've put the thing together (of course I will do my fluid flush before I do my first cranks) but I've seem to have an inlet open for a hose to be connected. I dont know what the name of the area is or where exactly to connect this inlet to. Any help on this would be appreciated. I've attached the photo and highlighted the area https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rx8...4a823f4f4d.jpgWhat inlet is that for? Where does it connect to it?

Thats where the purge line should attach. It is a click on fitting like the fuel line.....goes to the purge container in the upper intake near the solenoid

Hey man, do yourself a favor and go to this webpage: RotaryHeads.com - Mazda RX-8 PDF Technical Manuals FE3S, and download the third pdf, the one labeled Engine Specifications. On page 108 of the pdf, the Fuel System subsection, I believe you'll find what you want. I believe it's the fuel line pressure check nipple.

Thanks guys. I did try starting my car before I got to read yalls msgs. For starts there seemed to be a gas leak underneath the car (puddle visible), it was cranking, almost sounded like it wanted to start. I will check out those manuals and do more research on the purge hose and be back with yall with some pic. Thanks !!

Make sure that the fuel line is on the fuel nipple and not the purge nipple. They look the same and if they have been moved around it can be hard to tell which one is which. If the fuel one is disconnected you will have fuel everywhere though.

Common fuel leak is the fuel pump nipple or the pump retaining ring....both can be covered under a current recall campaign
